Class Songs for 2011: Please email me from the "contact us" page and I will reply with the songs being used this year, this will help the students practising at home.Performance Notes:
Appearances:
When doing hair for shows use a water spray and gel spray then plait or style. It will bring in all the little wisps. Then hair spray for extra hold.
Ensure your costume is ready at least 5 days before performance date and then don’t touch it. By this I mean clean and proper and all pieces together.
Lipstick needs to be bright red with a tiny shine. I can go out and recommend one for all performers to buy, so all lips are exactly the same.
Wear your ITDE Jacket over your costumes.
Bring a little dance bag with some extra things such as a little make up bag, little sewing and hair bag with safety pins, bobby pins, spray, elastics etc.
On Stage:
Don’t look sideways. Its up to you to know your performance not someone next to you.
Being small troupes, the stage may feel slightly empty – GOOD, USE IT and don’t be shy.
You are only up on stage for just a few minutes and then that’s it! So totally have fun and go for it!
SHOW OFF how good you are and how well you have trained to perform for that audience in front of you!
Be confident and smile (if appropriate for your dance). Whatever face you go with make it from the heart and not fake. Really feel it
Practice:
Bring in a blank cd for a copy of the music.
Practice at home.
Ask family members to watch for some practice in front of an audience. Do this regularly.
When in class be prepared and ready to improve and learn.

Make Up Notes and Tips
Tips: - Always use good quality brushes to apply powder makeup. - Shimmer crème eye shadow – great for younger ones also. - There are two base colours of foundation Yellow & Pink. Most skins suit the yellow. - Test makeup on your face not your hands etc as the skin colour of your face is different. - When testing makeup go outside in the natural light and have a look. - If lip pencils aren’t gliding then rub the pencil tip on the top of your hand to warm it up. - Use cotton tips to wipe off mistakes. - Gloss makes lips look bigger. - Don’t use gloss if hair is out as it sticks! - After performances for a more natural look: wipe off lipstick and replace with gloss and wet and squeeze a sponge and dab off face powder. - Cream based makeup tends to last longer - Eyebrows shape your face - Use a brush to apply lipstick - Crème foundation for stage. - Good makeup doesn’t wear off
>Make Up Order: 1. Prima - Smoothes skin for better make up application 2. Concealer - Cover blemishes & spots, and dark circles under eyes etc 3. Powder - Apply with a brush for day wear (lighter) and a sponge for stage wear 4. Lash Curler Gives lashes lift 5. Shadow 1)apply colour to eye socket 2)apply a highlighting colour such as gold etc to the brow 3)blend with a clean brush 6. Brow Pencil Fill in gaps lightly 7. Mascara - Apply to lashes 8. *Kaia used a Mac Brushes set which she recommended as good quality and long lasting, she also used bits of their makeup too. What is expected of me as a performance student? - To arrive at least 5 minutes before class to go over class performances with other students - To bring in a blank cd titled with my name and classes - To PRACTISE my performance at home, often in front of family and friends - Being prepared, looking neat and ready for classes - Respecting other students, my teacher and myself - Always thank the teacher with a clap and a bow at the end of EVERY class :)
