Damaris has a love of dance but has found her true passion is in teaching and choreographing. She has been teaching for 11 years. Her experience and manner will provide her students with a wonderful insight into the world of dance and beyond.

Miss Julie

Julie has been trained in dance for over 13 years, participating in various genres including Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, Hip Hop, Swing and some cultural dances.
She did her ballet exams under B.A.L syllabus completed up to Grade 5 with Honours.
Her choreography experiences include a "STOMP" routine for 30 students, both male and female, aged 10-12, various school performances and assessments and has choreographed lyrical dances for Graduation Ceremonies for students at St Andrew's Primary School, Marayong, over the past 4 years.
She completed dance as a subject in the Higher School Certificate, receiving a Band 6 as an overall mark involving theory, performance, and composition. Majored in Composition, in which she was required to choreograph a 4-6 minute, abstract piece that expressed a deeper intent and purpose. My work, titled "Communication", was highly successful with a nomination for Callback Performances, where the exemplary efforts from Year 12 Dance students of 2010 are recognized.
Julie has sufficient levels of fitness and knowledge of Safe Dance Practices, including immediate injury management and also preventative actions.
The knowledge of the process of choreographing a dance she highly enjoys and especially seeing the end result.
She is a motivated and enthusiastic teacher and will be a fantastic asset to ITDE

Miss Alex King

Alex has have been dancing for 7 years, since the age of 8 years and since then, she has never looked back.
The styles of dance she has studied are Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, And Performance group (Troup).
She has performed at events and competed in many Eisteddfods in Solo dances and Groups, receiving many awards and trophies.

She has also been my Assistant teacher for the past 4 years with the younger classes, and teaches in the most professional manner and the students adore her.
When she finishes year 10, her plan is to audition for Newtown performing arts high school.

After completing her senior years at Newtown she will hopefully successfully audition for a performing arts full-time course.

Her dream is to become famous and be a well-known dancer/choreographer and travel the world to dance in theatre and movies.

When she is older she would love to be the principle of her own dance school.

Quote from Alex- ‘Dancing has amazed me more than anything else has. It’s not just a place where you go to learn to dance, because you learn so much more than that. But what you learn depends on how determined and committed you are to what you do. For me, dance has opened up so many opportunities for the future ahead. My future is defiantly set’
